Royal Navy Referees continue to play their part in Service and civilian football both in the UK and throughout the world; providing officials for all levels of the game. Many stories and personal accounts can be found by flicking through old copies of Society Newsletters and Magazines. Indeed, although some time ago now, it is significant that the RNFA provided an Assistant Referee at the 1946 FA Cup Final - Bill Sadlier. Mike Taylor, Len Huff and Simon Hollick have been Assistant Referees on the Football League during their time in the Service; Mike also assisted Jack Taylor in an international fixture in Poland in the early seventies. Several officials have been fortunate enough to officiate at Wembley for the End of Era celebrations, Umbro 5's and the Bobby Moore Memorial Fund and an RNFA Official regularly attends the DALLAS Cup competition in Texas USA.
