The Football Association Umbro Fives Competition is a national competition. The structure runs with local qualifying events followed by regional competitions leading to the finals held at Wembley Stadium (date tbc).
The Royal Navy FA will be running 2 qualifying tournaments - one in Portsmouth and one in Plymouth on the following dates:
Portsmouth Qualifying
Thu 30 Sep 2010 (Time: 1500-1800)
Venue: ROKO, Portsmouth
Closing date for entries: Fri 24 Sep 2010
Plymouth Qualifying
Wed 27 May 09 (Time: 1400-1700)
Venue: GOALS Soccer Centre, Plymouth
Closing date for entries: Fri 08 Oct 2010
The winners of both qualifying tournaments will then be invited to represent the Royal Navy in the regional competitions Nov 2010. (Venue and times tbc).
Entries are invited from all Establishments, Units, Ships and Submarines within the Royal Navy/Royal Marines. Squads should consist of no more than 8 players. There must be a minimum of 6 RN/RM personnel, the other 2 squad positions may be filled by FTRS or Army/RAF personnel attached to those establishments, units or ships.
Entry fee: £5.00. Cheques made payable to 'RNFA'.
This competition is not only for establishment teams but is ideal for departmental teams to enter.
