The Royal Navy FA currently provides a comprehensive range of Coach Education courses. Whether a player, coach, physio, referee, administrator, parent, teacher or volunteer, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved, whatever your level of knowledge.
Level 1 Certificate In Coaching Football (30 hours)
This qualification is the first step towards becoming a recognised football coach. Replacing the Junior Team Managers Award, it provides you with an opportunity to study and be assessed in both practical and theoretical aspects of coaching football for children and young people.
Level 2 Certificate In Coaching Football (90+ hours)
The Level 2 course offers candidates a combination of practical experience and classroom based theory to develop an understanding of the planning, conducting and evaluation of ethical football coaching sessions.
Level 3 Certificate In Coaching Football (120+ hours)
Commonly known as the ‘UEFA B Licence’, this course provides you with an opportunity to advance your practical team coaching skills. On completion you will be qualified to coach football skills and techniques to both adults and children.
F.A. YOUTH AWARD - MODULE 1 (4 Days)
This is also a new FA course aimed at those working with 5-11 year old players, who want to further their knowledge and understanding. The course encompasses a variety of theoretical and practical tasks around the learning processes involved when coaching this age range.
FA Level 1 Goalkeeping Award (3 Days)
The course is intended for Coaches who wish to learn the basic ‘Technical’ aspects of Goalkeeping. Candidate sshould also have obtained the 1st4sport Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football and have a reasonable level of fitness as there is a physical content in taking part in the practical sessions.
F.A. Emergency Aid (3 Hours)
This workshop is beneficial for anyone who is involved in football as a player, coach, volunteer, referee, parent or spectator.The 3 hour workshop is suitable for anyone over 16 years of age. You will learn:
- How to react in an emergency/life threatening situation
- Recovery position
- Resuscitation
- CPR
- First aid for other life threatening injuries
F.A. Safeguarding Children Workshop (3 Hours)
This course is designed to share correct practice, and offer you the opportunity to put in place procedures and policies that will benefit every member of your club. RNFA strongly recommends this workshop for anyone working in football with children or young people.
